EAQ’s administrators are entirely volunteers and are involved in obtaining redress and justice for our families and our businesses. We all know that legal actions are expensive, but together we will be able to make it happen.
What your financial support will be used for:
- Organize a legal recourse aimed at nullifying the decrees declaring a public health
emergency in Quebec, as well as any other recourse deemed necessary.
- Prepare advertising and information campaigns for the population.
- Miscellaneous administrative costs.
The EAQ organization aims, through its efforts, to get us all out of this crisis. And we
need your help to make it happen. Support our actions so that, together, we have the
leverage to make things happen. The time is now! The ball is in your court...
Despite our numerous testimonies on the collateral damage caused by the measures they put in place, the government is turning a deaf ear. Groups of doctors, pediatricians and others from civil society have called for an easing and correction of the measures, which again have gone unheeded. Worse yet, Public Health recommendations have not been followed and have given way to arbitrary political decisions over a health issue. The question is: How do you stop a government that is no longer listening? This is why we made the decision to go to court in a legal action aimed at nullifying the decrees declaring the public health emergency in Quebec. In particular, this will enable us to obtain the scientific basis on which the government is relying to implement measures that harm our economy as well as the physical and mental health of millions of Quebecers. We are 8.5 million inhabitants who will suffer together from the heavy consequences of the government’s decisions. Human, social and financial consequences… for years to come.
